Germany’s digital transformation: where is your opportunity?

DIGITALISATION & SAAS

Digital ambition needs solutions that are easy to understand, implement and trust.

Revica perspective · 15 October 2026

Intent and implementation are different

The European Commission’s 2026 Digital Decade report describes reform initiatives alongside structural barriers in Germany. In its Eurobarometer, 84% of German respondents consider digital policy a high EU priority. This measures public attitudes; it does not establish business purchasing budgets.

Start with the customer’s working day

For Swedish SaaS providers, our recommendation is to translate digitalisation into a specific operational problem. Can you reduce duplicate data entry, simplify scheduling or improve decisions? Show a before-and-after workflow with relevant assumptions. A broad transformation message becomes easier to assess when customers can see its practical value.

Make the risks easier to assess

Prepare clear answers about integrations, permissions, data handling, support and implementation. Explain what customers need to contribute and which resources are required. Answer security and personal data questions with actual documentation. Do not promise compliance or a particular hosting location without being able to substantiate it.

A focused start can generate useful learning

Where a pilot makes sense, define a specific use case, an accountable owner and shared evaluation criteria. Clarify timing, costs and what happens afterwards. Revica helps prepare the customer conversation and identify the issues that need resolving before interest can turn into a deal.
